Over the period of 2 years, Milly established and event managed our gallery space at ‘Left Bank Gallery’

Over this time she organised and managed an extensive number of events, workshops and exhibition

openings with a meticulous eye for detail. Milly liaised with artists, clients and media alike, drawing

good audiences to each opening. Through hosting these events, she secured excellent media coverage,

which increased Left Bank Gallery’s public profile whilst growing our social media following.

Being creative and practical, enabled Milly to both design and deliver very successful events with ease.

This coupled with her bubbly, energetic personality means she is always an absolute pleasure to work with.

Tedder Ave Traders Association has contracted Milly of Artis Events to manage our free community

events for the past 3 years. With each event attracting between 5000 to 7000 visitors and requiring

months of dedicated work, Milly manages to successfully deliver outstanding events on a tight

budget. The job involves her liaising with Gold Coast council, police, event participants, Tedder

Ave traders, stakeholders and locals, road closure team, music and entertainment providers, fashion

stylists, as well as being responsible for all design work, marketing, PR and budgets.

Her professionalism, ‘can do’ attitude and willingness to go that extra mile,

means she has been a real asset for Tedder Ave.

Working with Milly Reynolds on Tedder Avenue events which attract thousand of visitors has truly

illustrated to me Milly’s professionalism and passion for organising events. From boutique

luncheons to large events, Milly’s skills and experience is impeccable. She is extremely organised,

pays attention to details, is a great communicator and fantastic at pulling great sponsors. I highly

Working with Milly is always a pleasure. She is professional, focused and hardworking whilst

Milly sat on our board whilst first developing the Gold Coast Arts Festival and Stone Song

Sculpture Symposium. Her practical knowledge of producing events and prior experience of event

managing a sculpture symposium was a real help to us and she was instrumental in producing our

first event prospectus and sponsorship documents, that we still use today.

My name is Tessa Chrisp. I am a New Zealand based Lifestyle Editorial Photographer. In 2009 I

embarked on a project in conjunction with Milly Reynolds. An iconic New Zealand Photographic

Exhibition managed and executed by Artis Events.

Milly’s enthusiasm and devotion to the project meant I could concentrate on the post production of

the images and delivery of the end product. Milly developed the design concept and distribution of

the invitations, media interviews, (leading to national television interviews) PR and marketing of

the exhibition, cataloguing and financing with a professional diligent approach. Milly was

proficient in communication and updated me every step of the way. She had a sensitive approach to

curating the artworks with insightful, constructive feedback. The exhibition was a great success.

Prior to Milly founding Artis Events, she was a member the Development Office staff at Griffith University

in the role of Development Officer. She reported directly to me with responsibility for securing funds to

support her client groups and for creating events and opportunities with the view to developing

understanding and appreciation of the groups’ aims, objectives and successes.

Milly was an excellent, honest, contributing member of the development team. She worked well on her own

and as part of a team. She showed great capability, was a lateral thinker with a true ‘can do attitude’. Milly

consistently met deadlines, achieved targets, operated within budget and was an excellent communicator. She

had a real capacity to create confidence with those she worked with, including the client groups, prospects,

donors and colleagues. She was able to undertake management of high profile events and projects from

conception to implementation and was dedicated to excellence at every stage. She showed understanding in

the development of strategies for prospect approaches and cultivation and the capacity to identify prospect needs.

I would be happy to recommend Milly Reynolds as an individual who will deliver, is capable of taking on
